Programs and Supports
Career Rehabilitation Building Services provides structured, community-based supports funded through ODP and OVR programs that help individuals build independence, develop practical skills, and move toward meaningful employment. Our services are individualized and built around each person’s strengths, goals, and support needs, with a focus on measurable progress and long-term stability.
Through Supported Employment Services and our Vocational Training Facility, individuals receive both real-world job development support and hands-on skill training in a simulated workplace environment. This combination allows participants to build work readiness, practice job tasks, and develop the confidence and skills needed to transition successfully into competitive community employment.
A Unique Model of Vocational Training
Career Rehabilitation Building Services was built from real-world experience — not theory. We began in the field as job coaches, walking alongside individuals in workplaces across our region. What we quickly realized was this: many individuals with diverse abilities were being placed into jobs without truly being prepared, and often without meaningful choice. They weren’t being given the opportunity to explore different career paths or practice real-world skills before entering the workforce. And without choice and preparation, independence isn’t truly independence.
So we built something different.
CRB Services created immersive, hands-on simulation environments that mirror real workplaces — grocery, hospitality, carpentry, retail, culinary, hair salon, janitorial, lawn and garden, and more. Here, individuals don’t just observe or receive instruction. They practice. They problem-solve. They make decisions. They discover what they enjoy and where their strengths lie in a structured, supportive setting that prioritizes safety, confidence, and growth.
We exist because our region needed more than job placement — it needed true career exploration and skill development. Today, individuals and families across Somerset, Cambria, Westmoreland, Blair, Bedford, Huntingdon, Fulton, Indiana, Armstrong, Jefferson, and Centre counties have access to meaningful preparation that leads to genuine independence.
