Our Vocational Training Center features immersive simulation rooms designed to replicate real workplace environments where participants can practice job tasks in a structured setting. These hands-on training areas allow individuals to build confidence, develop transferable skills, and prepare for the expectations of competitive employment.

Retail Simulation

The Retail Simulation recreates a small store environment where participants practice stocking, labeling, and organizing merchandise. They learn to price items, assist customers, and process sales using a register while maintaining safe, clean, and organized work areas. This simulation builds practical customer service, product management, and cash-handling skills common in retail jobs.

Salon Simulation

The Salon Simulation introduces participants to personal care services in a professional setting. Individuals practice shampooing, basic styling, hygiene care, and appointment scheduling while maintaining clean and sanitized tools and work areas. This simulation builds customer service skills and emphasizes attention to detail, hygiene, and professionalism in personal care environments.

Hotel and Hospitality Simulation

The Hotel Lobby Simulation recreates a hospitality front-desk environment where participants practice greeting guests, checking visitors in and out, answering phones, and directing guests. Training emphasizes professional communication, confidentiality, cleaning, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, preparing participants for customer service roles in hospitality settings.

Grocery Simulation

The Grocery Simulation recreates a grocery store setting where participants learn essential retail food service skills. Individuals practice stocking shelves, rotating products, organizing displays, assisting customers, bagging groceries, and operating a register. Training also covers reading labels, pricing, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace, preparing participants for entry-level grocery and retail positions.

Carpentry Simulation

The Carpentry Simulation introduces participants to basic woodworking using hand and power tools. Individuals learn to measure, cut, assemble, and finish simple projects while following diagrams and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Training emphasizes proper tool handling, safety equipment, and hands-on skill development.

Restaurant Simulation

The Restaurant Simulation recreates a dining environment where participants practice food service and hospitality skills. Individuals learn to set tables, take orders, prepare simple items, serve meals, and bus tables while maintaining proper food safety and sanitation. This simulation builds customer service, teamwork, and workplace skills used in food service settings.

Safety and First Aid Simulation

The Safety and First Aid Simulation teaches hazard recognition, emergency response, and workplace safety. Participants learn to identify risks, respond to minor injuries, and follow proper procedures for emergencies, reporting, and evacuation. Training emphasizes PPE use, first aid readiness, and confident, timely responses to safety situations.

Lawn and Garden Simulation

The Lawn and Garden Simulation teaches basic outdoor work skills through hands-on activities. Participants learn to use common tools, plant and care for flowers and herbs, and perform basic lawn maintenance like mowing and trimming. Training emphasizes tool safety, proper lifting, and outdoor awareness while building responsibility and coordination.

Computer and Office Simulation

The Computer and Office Simulation teaches basic technology skills for the workplace. Participants learn to operate a computer, use common programs, create documents, manage files, and use email safely. Training also covers printing, scanning, and proper workspace setup, building confidence for administrative and computer-based roles.

Janitorial Simulation

The Janitorial Simulation teaches cleaning and maintenance skills used in custodial roles. Participants practice sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas while learning proper chemical handling, safety procedures, and supply organization. Residential Kitchen Simulation

The Residential Kitchen Simulation teaches safe food preparation and meal planning. Participants plan menus, shop, cook simple meals, and practice proper use of kitchen tools. Training also covers cleaning, sanitation, and food storage, building independence and safe kitchen habits.

Skill Strengthening Simulation

The Creative Skills Studio promotes artistic expression through crafts, painting, drawing, and sewing. Participants complete projects while following directions, managing materials, and working collaboratively. Training emphasizes safe tool use and a clean workspace, fostering creativity, patience, and self-expression.

Library Simulation

The Library Simulation teaches organization and basic public service skills in a structured setting. Participants sort and shelve materials,
assist visitors, and maintain clean, organized spaces. Training emphasizes attention to detail, safe practices, and positive community interaction.

Employment Readiness Simulation

Employment Readiness prepares participants for the workforce through resume building, job applications, and interview practice. Training emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, following directions, and workplace expectations, while reinforcing internet safety and confidence for employment success.

Community Skills Simulation

The Community Skills Simulation builds confidence in navigating public settings. Participants learn to use crosswalks, follow traffic signals, read maps, use public transportation, and interact appropriately with others. Training emphasizes safety awareness and preparedness in the community.
